Well here is my response to our new assignment:

My life in 5 years

The sun was shining through the dirty panes. The room was very quiet. We must have slept in I thought. We better get going I said to the little boy rubbing his eyes next to me. Few minutes later we were standing in an already enormous queue. Mommy, mommy how much longer? I heard my son saying I’m really hungry. I told him that it’s going to be a few more minutes and that he has to be patient and no to worry, because there is enough food for everyone.

So there we were, standing in a mess hall next to the homeless shelter, which has been our home for 2 years now.

Yes, 3 years ago I decided to move to Seattle with a guy who I thought was the love of my life. My family never approved of him and when I left our contact broke completely.

Few months passed I got a job and everything seemed to be as perfect as it could under those circumstances. Then the thunderstorm came. I found out that I’m pregnant and with this information my life crushed and burned. My boyfriend left me saying he wasn’t ready for the baby and I had fallen deeper and deeper into depression. I lost my job, and just when I thought that this is over a women from the organization helping homeless people approached me and offered her help. I accepted. Thanks to her, today, my son and I have a roof over our heads and hot meals every day. When the breakfast is finished I help in the shelter, I teach English to other homeless foreigners, whom are many in here, and the free time I have I spend with my son.

Hopefully one day my life would change for the better, I’d be able to come back to Poland and reunite with my family, but right now I’m happy and thankful to God for everything I have.

A/N: This story is completely OOC, and presents my thoughts about my not-so-dreamed-of future. Likelihood of making the mentioned events real is none.

As always comments are greatly appreciated xP
